People consistently conceal their genuine characters to suit the expectation of others. Men are expected to be dominating and masculine; women are expected to be submissive and feminine. The indisputable truth is that everyone is born with different attributes and mix of masculinity and femininity.
Projecting the opposite expectation is to be criticized by the unspoken rules of society. Repressing your true self suffocates your freedom to live, denies your special ability, and shortchanges your happiness. No matter how much energy you’ve expanded to fetter your true color, it leaks out eventually—usually during unpleasant moments.
Nurture your uniqueness, wear your heart on your sleeve.
