Maintain Your Momentum

Maintain Your Momentum

Our actions tend to fluctuate between working and non-working days. On weekday, we are more active. We are busy with our job or our project. On weekends, we take things easier, wake up late, and pamper ourselves.

On long holidays, we wake up even later, eat more junk food, skip exercise. We are more lenient with deviation from good habits. We view the holidays as a license to overindulge.

Because of the tremendous pull toward the primitive part of us that favors energy conservation, it is easier to diminish than to break bad habits. So, after a long holiday, we degenerate. We give in to our visceral desires, making it harder to come back and climb up.

Show up every day to practice your craft. Don’t let unfettered gratifications consume your spirit.
