Behavioral Adaptations

Behavioral Adaptations

Where you live matters as much as whom you spend your time with. You do what your parents do you because you consider them authority figures; You wake up as late as your spouse because both of you sleep late; You eat junk food with your colleagues because you want to jibe with your group.

You will be a different person if you live in a different city, marry a different spouse, born into a different family, and mingle with different colleagues. The unique confluence of your circumstances shapes your behavior.

Even if you are the only one who is different or seeks to be different, it takes an enormous amount of willpower to thwart the unwelcome influences from your surroundings.

While you can’t choose what you can’t choose, make a conscious effort to choose wisely what you can choose.
