Know Thyself

Know Thyself

Introspection can lead to self-discovery and also megalomaniac.

As you know more about yourself, you begin to be more self-effacing. You are aware that you are just a modicum of cells with a limited lifespan in this vast universe. “What can I contribute to the betterment of the world?” makes more sense than “How much more can I gain—at the expense of others?

At the opposite end, when you can’t accept your truth, you are absorbed with your belief and ego takes precedence. Your clouded self-assessment makes you feel grandiose and conceited. You think you what something because you want to want it.

The ability to be conscious makes humans suffer from cognitive dissonance. Even we—knowledgeable beings—don’t know ourselves.
