The route to your goal is never easy. It takes time, energy, and sometimes tears.
Your enjoyment of doing it is the only thing that smoothens the process. Because if you enjoy what you do, your work will enliven you. You will have no problem with the dead-end question, “what’s next?” after fulfilling your goal. Get a yellow belt, get the black champion, win the World Taekwondo Championship, and finally be better than yourself yesterday.
Your goal is not merely a destination, but the means to embrace your never-ending quest for mastery. A mastery that you enjoy.
It is never wise to force yourself to master something that disinterests you.
