The Curse of Seeking Novelty

When a certain new gadget hits the market, we have a strong urge to be the first to own that.

Even though we know it will be passé in the next few years, but we don’t mind camping overnight just to get our hands on that tech early.

We know that the price will reduce next few years hence, but we don’t mind paying for the exorbitant price now.

Novelty makes us feel good that we sometimes miss assessing the big picture.
