Into the Flow

Into the Flow

Flow, the state of an undivided attention and focus on tasks while experiencing a little euphoria despite the difficulty (or I should say “challenge”). The full engagement not only gets you to be productive but also makes you happy.

The state of flow can only be reached when the task difficulty is just slightly above your skill level. A task that is too difficult demotivates you; A task that is too easy bores you.

Strive to undertake a lifework that elicits the state of flow to progress quickly. It is worth pursuing something hard if you want to achieve continuous self-improvement. After all, that’s the only way do discover your limit.

As you complete a slightly difficult task, your increased ability enables you to take on a slightly more difficult task. Rinse and repeat.
