When the End Justifies the Means

When the End Justifies the Means

We don't mind being combative toward the unwary colleagues to express competence to our superiors. We unintentionally ruin our relationship to get a good performance rating. We shirked duties to give more burdens to our coworkers.

Then, when we leave the company, we put a façade to bid farewell to the same people whom we aggrieved. It's nothing personal, it’s just work, right? Little did we know that our friends and colleagues were hurt by our words, emails, and exploitation. It's personal.

How miserable life is if our surrounding people are just pawns to serve our goals—ready to be disposed of once we get what we want.
